Masha Kova is a 20-year-old Miami Beach-based Pop and R&B artist bringing together the music, style and energy of a generation that grew up with everything at its fingertips.
A classically trained pianist and lifelong music lover, Masha’s influences stretch across Pop, R&B, House, Latin music and the sounds of the 2000s. She has a particular love for nostalgia, pulling inspiration from an era when pop artists delivered the full experience: the record, the visual, the fashion, the choreography and the performance.
Music is also part of her DNA. Masha grew up in a family deeply connected to entertainment, including her mother, Julia Kova, an international pop artist and former beauty queen whose career gave Masha an early look at life as a performer. But rather than simply following in her family’s footsteps, Masha is building a world distinctly her own.
Her musical foundation has continued to grow under the mentorship of legendary producer Teddy Riley, who produced Masha’s single “Bye Bye Bye.” Working alongside one of the architects of New Jack Swing has allowed her to learn from music history firsthand while discovering how those influences can live within a new generation of Pop and R&B.
A NEW ERA
Now, Masha is turning the page with “Red Light Green Light,” her latest Pop/House single and one of the clearest introductions yet to the artist she is becoming.
Flirty, confident and made to move, the record taps into Masha’s love of dance music and the push-and-pull of modern attraction. Its official music video premiered on Vevo, followed by a Miami release celebration and a growing series of live performances, media appearances and activations.
And she's building it all while still being a college student.
At 20, Masha’s life moves between classes, recording sessions, rehearsals, choreography, performances, travel and everything that comes with figuring out young adulthood in real time. That duality has become an important part of her story: dreaming big without pretending to have everything figured out.
Whether she’s behind a piano, in the studio or stepping onto a stage, Masha is building toward something bigger than a single song.
